South Africa: Companies Offered 'Flexibility' in New Draft Regulations

Johannesburg — FINANCIAL reporting in the new year will take on a new look, as new regulations under the Companies Act released by the government take effect.

"Corporations will have to reassess and possibly amend their founding statements and shareholder agreements," said Nicolaas van Wyk, chief director of the Research Centre for Independent Review yesterday.
