Somalia: Gunmen Kill a Bus Driver in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — Armed gunmen with the uniform of the Transitional Government troops have shot and killed a bus driver in parts of Wadajir district in the Somalia capital Mogadishu, witnesses said on Wednesday.

Reports say that death of the BL driver came as a armed group ordered to him to pay illegal extratraordinary money which refused and caused to fire at him and kill.

One of the civilian traffic drivers who declined to disclose his name through the media and was in the area where the killing action happened told Shabelle radio that the gunmen who murdered the men carried the militery dress of the transitional Federal Government troops pointing out that the accident happened at around Jiro Miskin neighbouhood in Wadajir distrcit which is very close to Madina hospital in south of Mogadishu.

"Yes, this was surprisable accident. it happened to one of my colleages. you know the drivers are often killed, beaten, threeaten and forcibly blackmiled so we request from the sides against the government to open for us Warshadah street to use it and leave from these areas that we are now working to be away from the gunmen having the dress of the TFG soldiers and committing us the different intimidations," said one of the drivers in Mogadishu.

Wadajir and Derkenley districts are the most dangerous areas under the government's control and always commited actions against the civilians mainly the civilians and traffic drivers in the capital.
