Somalia: A Government Soldier Kills Himself as He Killed Another in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — A TFG soldier has killed himself as he shot and killed another government soldier at around the presidential palace in the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses said on Wednesday.

Reports say that the murderer shot the transitional government soldier at Academic neighborhood which is very close to the Villa Somalia, the presidential palace in Mogadishu where he himself was reportedly killed according to witnesses.

It is unclear the real aim that the soldier murdered the man and killed himself so far.

Sources said that killer was released form a jail in Mogadishu as he got permission form the officials of the prison where he was detained adding that he was threatening that he will people or would be killed in recent days as he was out of the jail.

More soldiers had rushed to the area of the killing action after the accident and took the bodies of both transitional Federal Government troops from the spot.

The murdered soldier used to drive watery tanks to the government troops in Mogadishu.

It is the first such killing happen in the Somali capital Mogadishu since president Sharif Sheik Ahmed took office of the transitional Federal Government of Somalia.
