HJK Helsinki forward Dawda Bah is happy to link up with his Scorpions teammates after he was called-up to the team for planned friendly matches against Angola and Tunisia next month.
The former Banjul Hawks player is yet to play under Coach Paul Put as he failed to impress him during the 2010 qualifiers but Bah, who aided his Finnish side to clinch the league title this season, is happy to be given another chance to prove to the coach what he can do.
In an interview with Gambia Sports Online, the former KPV Kokkola midfielder believed he is better than some of the players playing under the Belgian but he has to be patient as any other player. "I am very happy to come and play for my country since it is the dream of every player. I know that I am not been given a chance under the Coach [Paul Put] even though I know that I have a place in that team.
"It is painful though, but I canÂ't turn my back on my country because we are all equal to the team. But it is the decision of the coach, and I have to respect that" Dawda told Gambia Sports' reporter Hagi Drammeh.
