Zambia: Ndola MMD Official Dies

NDOLA MMD vice-secretary Joseph Chola has died.

Alderman Chola died at the Ndola Central Hospital at 04:30 hours yesterday after an illness.

Ndola MMD vice-publicity and information secretary Alex Mubanga confirmed the death of Mr Chola.

Mr Mubanga said Mr Chola, 64 is survived by four sons and four daughters and funeral is at his house in Chifubu Township.

Burial programme would be announced later.

And former Times of Zambia photographer Charles Mumba's first born daughter Monica Mumba has died.

Monica, 33, who worked as a Petrol attendant at Kansenshi BP Filling station, died at Ndola Central Hospital on Tuesday night after an illness.

Mr Mumba confirmed Monica's death in Ndola yesterday and that the funeral was being held at house number 1177, New Twapia Township. Burial takes place tomorrow.
