The Regional Minister for Greater Accra, Nii Armah Ashietey, has urged the Sub-Metropolitan District Assemblies of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to desist from hijacking the work of public and civil servants in the assemblies. It is barely a week since the Achimota Terminal was in inaugurated, and has already begun operations.
A visit by the Accra File to the terminal some days ago revealed that commercial drivers from various destinations had begun transporting commuters from the place.
The GH¢16.5 million facility has a parking capacity for 800 vehicles, a police post, a clinic, four 20-unit toilet and 10 canteens.
But as is common with every new thing, there are complaints from some commuters of not being able to locate their designated stations at the terminal, as there were no destination boards to direct or guide passengers.
Others also expressed satisfaction with the new terminal, while complaining of the long waiting in queues for vehicles, because the drivers could not easily locate their allotted embarkation points.
Others also said it would be more satisfactory if there should be direction boards or destination boards to direct commuters and travelers.
There was the presence of a\ task force to ensure that the drivers complied with the regulations of the terminal, and not pick passengers just anywhere, and also to make sure that drivers do not use the old station.
At the station, it was noted that there were task force to ensure that no driver load passengers anywhere apart from the terminal even at the old Achimota station.
But hawkers came around the terminal trying to protect against the management decision not to allow hawking at the place, but were still not allowed.
In an interview with Nana Tufuor Antwi, Administrative Manager of the terminal said they were assured that the station would be normalized by the end of the week.
He said management of the terminal had series of meetings with the various drivers unions at the weekend to discuss how users would operate at the place.
With the electronic destination boards which ere to be installed at the terminal he said they were yet to arrive in the country and further assured that they would be ready foruse by the end of next month.

None of those things were ever invented by the Africans. Never do the Africans invent things. The examples you noted above are of people who hold some patents on items that White European people have invented. Interestingly enough, none of the people you cited has an African name...thats because the Africans cannot invent or built anything. But they are very skilled at breaking and destroying things.
