Harare — THE National Incomes and Pricing Commission has urged manufacturers, traders and transport operators to stop taking advantage of the festive season by increasing prices of goods and services.
In a Press statement released after noticing the growing trend by businesses to increase prices of goods and services because of the festive season buying mood, the NIPC called for restraint.
"While Government no longer controls prices of goods and services, price increases are unwarranted especially now that the country is using stable multi-currencies," read part of the statement.
The NIPC said businesses should not take advantage of increased demand generated by the requirements of the festive season.
