Mensura — Election of administrators and managers was conducted in eight administrative areas of Mensura sub-zone.

At the meeting held with the inhabitants of the area prior to the election, the Administrator of Mensura sub zone, Mr. Tesfalidet Gebremariam called on the inhabitants to vote for leaders who are committed to the development of their respective areas and those trusted for work ethics and values.

Indicating that enough experience has been gained in past elections, Mr. Tesfalidet disclosed that the election processes are showing improvement as a result of the people's growing awareness.

Reports indicated that there was active participation of the community, particularly that of women's participation. Furthermore recommendations were adopted that the elected administrators to exert utmost efforts to live up to people and Government's expectations, improve the participation of female students and promote summer work activities in the region.

The elected administrators on their part expressed their readiness to serve their community and called for provision of trainings which would assist them in their work.
