Tunisia: Jacques Chirac's Adoptive Daughter Hails Solidarity Model

Tunis — Mrs. Anh Dao Traxel, chairwoman of the association "Etoile Européenne du Dévouement Civil et Militaire" and the adoptive daughter of former French president Mr. Jacques Chirac, accompanied by the chairwoman of the Tunisian women Rally in France, "Messages," paid a visit to headquarters of the National Solidarity Fund (NSF).

During her visit, Mrs.Traxel said that "Tunisia is a model to follow for its social solidarity experience and its dissemination of the culture of tolerance".

On the occasion, secretary of state in charge of National Solidarity Fund Mr. Omar Ben Mahmoud briefed the guests on the Tunisian experience in the sector of solidarity, by means of the 26-26 Fund's programs and interventions.

Both guests visited the project set up by the National Solidarity Fund (NSF) in Borj Touil district (in the governorate of Ariana).

They took cognizance of thee activities of the Borj Touil children club, set up in 2005, which houses several arts, games and culture premises.

During her stay in Tunisia, Mrs. Traxel visited several regions of the country where she had the occasion to witness Tunisia's progress in several sectors of activity.
