Eritrea: Opening of Big And Modern Hotels in Keren Vital for the Development of Tourism Sector

Keren — The opening and expansion of big and modern hotels in Keren town are play significant role in the development of the tourism sector, stated Mr. Mogos Asgedom, head of the Tourism Ministry's branch in Anseba region.

He indicated that big hotels that meet international standards were opened in the town over the past couple of years, and that their contribution in attracting domestic and foreign tourists is not to be viewed lightly. Mr. Mogos further stated that vigorous endeavors are underway to upgrade the efficiency and competence of service-rendering institutions.

Mr. Tsegai Hagos, owner of the newly opened modern hotel, Costina Hotel, pointed out that it was constructed at huge expenditure and that he is striving to further improve the provision of service. He also called on service-rendering institutions to render efficient service to customers, as the region is endowed with rich historical sites and relics.

Mr. Mohammed Abuselah and his wife, as well as Ms. Amal Ibrahim, Sudanese nationals who came here for vacation, expressed satisfaction with the warm hospitability and efficient service, coupled with the prevailing salubrious weather in the region.
