Tunisia: Chinese Delegation Expresses Admiration for Social Solidarity Experience

Tunis — Once again, the Tunisian experience in the sector of social solidarity is appreciated at an international level. A Chinese delegation led by Mrs. Lin Wangping, Executive Director of Human Resources and Social Security in Guang Dung governorate, in China, visited on Wednesday, the National Solidarity Fund (FSN) headquarters, in Tunis.

Mr. Omar Ben Mahmoud, the Secretary of State for FSN, gave a historical overview on the creation of the Fund and its contribution to improving Tunisians' living standards.

He referred to the Tunisian experience in the social solidarity sector and the FSN's interventions in housing projects, health, basic amenities and the creation of income sources.

Mr. Ben Mahmoud said that some 1 million 400,000 citizens have so far benefited from the Fund's aids in 1855 different locations in the country.

For her part, Mrs. Lin Wangping expressed her admiration for the success of the Tunisian experience in strengthening the values of solidarity and social care. China's Ambassador in Tunisia attended the meeting.
