Gambia: Court Orders Defence to File Brief in Homicide Case

Justice Moses Richards of the Special Criminal Court in Banjul has ordered defence counsel, Lawyer SW Riley to file and submit a written brief to the said Special Court on January 25, 2010.

Justice Richards made this order following Lawyer Riley's submission that the defence was closing its case in the matter between the state and Mariama Singhateh. The accused is alleged to have caused the death of her son, Buba Singhateh on April 19, 2000 at Tallinding, KSMD.
