In a seminar he conducted to department heads, government employees and Assembly members in Adi-Keih sub-zone, Mr. Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs at the PFDJ, stated that the challenges and hostilities being encountered are vivid demonstration of the nation's all-round progress. He also expressed conviction that such ploys would as ever be rebuffed through reinforcing national unity.

Mr. Hagos explained that it is not surprising that the people and Government of Eritrea face hostilities for they have managed to register impressive achievements in unison, besides being masters of their own choices and decisions. Noting that the sole solution as ever rests on strengthening common outlook in striving for building strong and prosperous nation, he pointed out that the year 2010 would herald solid, prosperous and reliable stage, and as such priority attention would be given to the task of ensuring national security in the face of growing external hostility.

The PFDJ official further underscored that the secret of the strength and success of the Eritrean people lies on the existing strong organization and integrity. In this respect, he stressed the need for reinforcing common understanding as regards key issues so as to further enhance such strength.

Mr. Hagos went on to highlight the need for properly bequeathing the nation's noble cultural values to the young generation. Moreover, he explained that the US-engineered Security Council sanctions against Eritrea constitute yet another wrongdoing against the Eritrean people after 60 years. Such a hostile move would have no noticeable impact on the national development drive, Mr. Hagos added.
