Uganda: Shs290 Million Drugs Money Goes Missing

Parliamentat least Shs290 million meant to purchase anti-retroviral, anti malarial drugs and condoms cannot be accounted for amid growing suspicion that officials at the health ministry could be 'supplying air'.

An audit has found that out of the drug supplies valued at Shs2 billion, nearly Shs300 million went missing through unclear circumstances after it emerged that the drugs never reached the intended beneficiaries.
