The pygmies of the Congo and communities of the various Native Americans in the Amazon are fabled for their strong attachment to the depths of the world's rainforests.
Their life in the brush dominance of the forests is often deigned with contempt and derision by the outside world. It is conceived to be too primitive and backward for members of the human race. For, these forest dwellers scratch a living only from the gathering of plants, fruits, roots, insects, maggots, honey, etc as well as occasional hunting and trapping of wild game in the un-redeeming thickness of their surroundings.
