South Africa: Cops Arrested for Theft and Robbery

Western Cape police have arrested two of their own members - one, a station commander, for stealing dagga from her own police station and selling it - and the other for robbing and attempting to kill four men.

Police spokesman Superintendent Andre Traut said a 44-year-old woman superintendent, who is the commander at an undisclosed station, was arrested yesterday in connection with 18 "large bags of dagga" that were removed from the station's evidence stores.
