Liberia: Abeer Pharmaceuticals - Pharmacy of the Year

During the year in review, the affordability of quality and less expensive drugs was another predicament that befell the citizens. This situation caused the untimely death of hundreds of our kinsmen across the country.

Till date, a large percentage of the population-especially the rural and urban poor-continue to have limited access to health and social welfare services. The 2007 survey found a national average of 43 percent of respondents had been sick in the past month, all due to the high cost of drugs on the Liberian market.

However, in the midst of this predicament, one institution that has continued to cater to the health condition of Liberians through the provision of quality drugs and at affordable prices is the Abeer Pharmaceuticals.

Abeer Pharmaceuticals is located on Randall Street in Monrovia with branches in Duala, Red-light, etc. The Pharmacy deals in high quality and universally acceptable Pharmaceutical products

At a ceremony marking the launching of the Duala Bushrod Island Branch of the Pharmacy, the Country Director disclosed that the institution was mainly interested in ensuring that Liberians have access to quality and affordable drugs at all times.

He said providing quality and affordable drugs to the people of Liberia was his institution's way of buttressing government's health delivery initiative.
