Nigeria: Jigawa Ex-Commissioner Gets Life Sentence for Murder

Dutse — A state High Court sitting in Ringim, Jigawa State, yesterday convicted a former commissioner for information in the state, Alhaji Abba Umar Kukuma, and his aide Alhaji Hamza to life imprisonment on charges of conspiracy and murder of two children. The duo had been dragged before the court in August last year on the alleged killing of three-year old Muhammad Aminu Bala and four-year old Adamu Abba Magaji of Zarainawa quarters of Birnin Kudu town.

The corpses of the two children were found dumped along Birnin kudu - Kano road three days after they were declared missing by their parents.
