Tunisia: Agency Cautions Against Dangerous Cosmetic Product Sold in Tunisia

Tunis — Safety first: as part of its efforts to ensure the conformity to health and safety standards of products sold on the Tunisian market, the National Agency of Sanitary Environmental Control (ANCSEP) has announced the discovery of a highly toxic cosmetic product (Asian Kohl Eye pencil) sold in Tunisia.

Following the analysis of a sample of the product, the Agency discovered that the product contains a large quantity of lead and several carcinogenic chemicals.
