Somalia: Explosion Occurs in Galka'o Town

Big explosion occurred at Garsorka neighborhood in the north of Galka'o town overnight a civilian woman, just a night after string of blasts attacked local FM radio stations in the town, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

Three journalists were wounded after unidentified gunmen threw grenades to three radio stations in Galka'o town which is under the control of both Galmudug state and Puntland.

Reports say that the blast was a roadside bomb buried beneath a street that is often used by the public traffic and police forces in north Galka'o town in Mudug region injuring one of the resident women, demolishing the building around where the blast occurred overnight.

More troops from Puntland administration had reached at the areas where the explosion happened and started search operations there though there were no people who were caught for the responsibility of the blast.
