Abuja — In view of the fact that an effective port's control is crucial to the realisation of economic prosperity and safe navigation, experts from four African countries were in Abuja for a 2-day Intersessional Management Working Group (ISMWG).
The delegates from Congo, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria, are charged with the responsibility of reviewing the decisions and recommendations of ISMWG 7, which took place in Republic of Guinea, June last year, ahead of the second Ministerial Conference on port state control coming up in February this year.
