Tunis — Organized by Tunisia's National Automobile Club "NACT", in collaboration with the 3TO, a Tunisian company for the organization of sporting events, Tunisia will host from March 04 to 13, "the 4-6H Off-Road".
The race which will cover a 2,500 Km track, will witness on January 17, the land of 4 times World Rally Raid Champion, Pierre Lartigue, at Port La Goulette driving his Toyota 4-4. He then will be joined in Tunisia by Stéphane Le Bail, the Dakar technical director to officially finalize the course of this first edition.
The Frenchman Pierre Lartigue won brilliant victories in the Tunisian Rallies in 1995 and 1996.
The 3TO just rent a CP truck (checkpoint) for the technical team, journalists and VIPs. A helicopter was also booked to monitor the race.
Tunisia's variety of landscapes and surfaces from desert sand dunes to the sinuous mountainous roads in the north, have attracted many major automobile rallies such as the Optic 2000 rally, the Paris Dakar Rally race, and the Butterfly Rally for women crews.
