Gambia: 18-Year-Old Boy Convicted of Forgery

The Kanifing Magistrates Court presided over by Joseph Ikpala on Tuesday convicted and sentenced Lamin Janneh, an 18-year-old boy for forgery on two counts.

On count one of the particulars of the offence, Lamin Janneh, on the 5th day of January 2010 at Ecobank Gambia Limited head office, along Kairaba Avenue, by false pretence and with the intention to defraud, forged the signature of West African Pranic Hearty Foundation with Ecobank, contrary to Section 322 of the Criminal Code laws of The Gambia.
