Cameroon: Gov't Adopts Standards in Cement Production

Stakeholders in the sector were on Wednesday drilled on the new standards and their application.

Government, through the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Technological Development (MINIMIDT), has embarked on a sensitisation campaign to school the public on standards especially the new standards on cement production in the country. The new standards, according to officials of the Ministry, are to raise awareness of dealers in cement; users, importers and all those involved in its production and use, on the types of cement and their uses.
