Somalia: Al-Shabab Claims Overnight's Explosion Attack Targeted to AU's Base in Mogadishu

Somalia — Harakat Al-shabab Mujhideen officials have Tuesday claimed the responsibility of overnight's explosion targeted to the main military base of the African Union troops (AMISOM) in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Sheik Ali Mohamud Raghe better known as (Sheik Ali Dere), the spokesman of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen told reporters that that the blast was carried out by Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen asserting that it was aimed to revenge for the Somali people that AMISOM troops kill and target the heavy weapons in the capital.

The spokesman said that they had killed more military and health officials of the African Union troops AMISOM and wounded more others who are in Halane, a large and strategic base for the AMISOM troops in Mogadishu.

The statement of Sheik Ali Mohamud Raghe (Sheik Ali Dere), the spokesman of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen comes as Major Brigye Bahuko, the spokesman of the African Union troops told Shabelle radio that an explosion occurred at Halane centre in Mogadishu and caused more casualties of soldiers and civilians.
