Unidentified gunmen have shot and killed a businessman and injured another at Garsorka neighborhood in the north of Galka'o town in Mudug region, witnesses said on Tuesday.

Reports say that unknown armed group had opened fire to the man and the other person who accompanied and caused the death of the businessman injuring other civilian man.

The injured civilian was rushed to the main hospital of the town in Mudug region.

More police troops from the semi-autonomous region of Puntland had reached at the scene where the murdering action happened overnight and made search operations at around where the gunmen killed the man in Galka'o town.

There is no comment from the administration of Puntland about the killing action, but Muse Abdirahman, head of police forces of north Galka'o town told Shabelle radio that the police forces were searching the case and who were the group committed the killing action.

There has been insecurity situation rising from Galka'o town over the recent months.
