Uganda: Violence in Society Just Following NRM Script

When local artiste Moses Ssali a.k.a Bebe Cool and four others were shot and wounded at the weekend after what appeared to be an altercation with police, the spotlight has turned on the increasing cases of violent behaviour in Uganda.

What puzzles many, 24 years after NRM came to power, is the increasing number of media reports of shootings, brutality, communal fights for land, domestic and mob violence. It is all puzzling because this is supposed to be the most peaceful epoch in our history, with clear-headed leadership, unlike the past, which was dominated by 'bad leaders.'
