Sierra Leone: Kei Kamara On Trial in Germany

Freetown — Leone Stars and former Kansas City Wizards striker, Kei Kamara is presently undergoing trial with the Bundesliga outfit, Greuther Furth.

The Wizards striker who is a free agent with the American outfit begun his trial with the German league II side earlier last week.

The 25-year striker, since the end of the Major League Soccer, MLS season, has been training in France with Ligue II side, Le Havre but is now trying his luck with the Bavarian club.

Kamara migrated to the United States when he was a teenager and commenced his career with USL Premier Development club, Orange County Blue Star in 2004 before gaining a MLS contract with Columbus Crew in the 2006 Super Draft.

From Columbus Crew, the striker moved to San Jose Earthquakes where he played with the Earthquakes for the first half of 2008 season until he was traded to Houston Dynamo where he scored several important goals for the Orange boys.

Due to financials crisis, the Orange boys traded the Sierra Leone international to Kansas City in September last year where he finished off the MLS season.
