Dar Es Salaam — ZANZIBAR failed to meet its revenue collection target by about 17 per cent in October, collecting 11.5bn/- instead of the 13.8bn/- target.
Tax collections reached 10.7bn/-, falling short of the 12.6bn/- target and accounting for 93 per cent of total revenues while non-tax revenues amounted to 700m/- below the target of 1bn/-.
