POLICE in the Karas Region are investigating the discovery of a human skeleton in the veld near the Ariamsvlei border post.

Police Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel said a farmer made the grim discovery on his farm on Monday.

According to Abel, the human remains were found 10 kilometres from the border post.

Judging by clothes found at the scene, the skeleton is that of a woman.

Abel appealed to anyone with information about a missing person or anyone who can identify the clothes to contact the nearest Police station.
