The film 'IJE', a 35mm cine production by a US based Nigerian film maker, Chineze Anyaene, had a sneak preview in Jos, the Plateau State capital, drawing commendations from the Nigerian Film Corporation boss, Mr. Afolabi Adesanya for a job well done.
The film, which featured two of Nigeria's best female actors, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Ekehinde, drew a large crowd of film enthusiasts to the screening room of the National Film Institute, Jos, venue of the sneak preview, which was filled to capacity.
Betraying much emotions and satisfaction for the outcome of the film production at the premiere, Anyaene said she was grateful to the Nigerian Film Corporation for the tremendous equipment and technical assistance/support extended to her during the film shoot.
According to Anyaene who produced and directed the film, the NFC's capacity to assist and support film makers in Nigeria is overwhelming and praised the Adesanya- led NFC for providing the needed industry support for film makers.
Film makers, especially Nigerian film makers in the Diaspora, she said, have been following the successes recorded within the Nigerian film industry. This, she said, explains why film makers around the world are now eager to partner Nigerian film makers from script_to_screen.
'IJE', a film of a fight for legal freedom from an alleged murder charge was partly shot in the United States and in Nigeria.
