Tanzania: Judiciary Workers Complain About Inadequate Facilities

Bunda — While cases are held in a warehouse at Mugata area in Bunda District, Mara Region, a primary court in Bunda Township has no toilets, it has been reported. Judiciary workers in the district complained that court cases were being conducted in ramshackle buildings at Kenkombyo and Nansimo areas.

They revealed this in a statement read on their behalf by Bunda district principal magistrate Joachim Tiganga at commemorations for the Law Day here. A building rented to house the Bunda district court was also not fit for Judiciary services, leading to some of their people to doubt whether justice could at all be obtained in such an environment, he observed.
