Nairobi — The controversy-ridden Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) is in the news again, this time over the hiring of staff and payments for consultancy.
Questions are being raised over how positions advertised in the press were filled when interviews have hardly been carried out. The deadline for applicants for the more than 30 positions advertised on two different days in January was last Thursday. The commission is further accused of paying an expert Sh40,000 a day for 30 days as a consultant on structure and organisational development.
