Norwegian club, Lillestrom, has taken some players from the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) on a month-long trials to beef up its squad for the campaign in that country's league, Naijaligue.blogspot.com gathered.

The two players are Joshua Obaje of Heartland Football Club and Anthony Ujah of Kano Pillars.

They have been in the Scandinavian country since the start of this year on trials with the modest Norwegian club.

"Joshua Obaje from Lobi Stars and Anthony Ujah from Kano Pillars in Nigeria are currently on trial at Lillestrøm. Both showed the current LSK training staff that they are aggressively built. Both playing at the top level in Nigeria and they will be here for a while to show," a report in the Norwegian media stated.

For Ujah, who is registered as a defender by Kano Pillars in the ongoing season of the Premier League in Nigeria, he's trying out at Lillestrom for the second time.

The club's head coach, Henning Berg, a former player of Manchester United, confirmed Ujah's second attempt with Lillestrom.

"Anthony (Ujah) has been here (at Lillestrom) before and it will be exciting to see how he does it in combat," said Berg.

Already, Obaje and Ujah have featured in a number of games for the Norwegian side.

But Naijaligue.blogspot.com gathered that Ujah might have propped himself up with his performances in trial games and could secure a contract after scoring one of the goals in Lillestrom's 2-0 win over Stream in a recent league game in Norway.

Ujah reportedly started the game against Stream from the beginning and responded well by impressing Berg and other backroom staff of Lillestrom.

However, the Lillestrom Manager has declared that he will be making a decision on Ujah known soon.

"Anthony proved he is completely ready. Though he has been here and trained with us earlier, we had not seen him in action before. "He played a full match and his performance was good," said Berg. "I would expect we take a stand on what we do with Anthony."

The Kano Pillars player is also happy that he has been able to impress the coaching crew and he's waiting to know his fate with the club in a matter of days.

Ujah said: "I am very pleased. "Now, I hope to get a contract so that I can help the team win titles."
