Liberia: World Cup Trophy Lands Here Today

The world prestigious competition trophy is expected to touch Liberia today and unveiled tomorrow at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City. Only the Liberian leader President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will be allowed to touch the trophy.

The Federation of International Football Association in collaboration with one of it chief sponsors CocaCola is touring several African countries with the FIFA 2010 World Cup Trophy and Liberia is next the destination for this historical occasion. The Chief Patron of Sports who was keen to see the Lone Star at the 2010 event in South Africa will be afforded the opportunity to touch the 2010 Cup even though her dream to be at the event failed. Already the United States Trading Company has sent out invitation to several prominent Liberians as well as officials of sporting institutions in the Country for the.
