Tanzania: Sh4 Billion 'Spent On Furniture in Three Years'

Procurement of government offices and residential furniture cost the government over Sh4 billion during the past three years, it has been learnt.

The minister for Infrastructure Development, Dr Shukuru Kawambwa, revealed this in Parliament yesterday that a total of Sh4,528,740,000 was spent in the purchase of furniture between 2005 and 2008.
