Cameroon People's Democratic Movement supporters urge Biya to stand as their candidate in 2011 promising him 100 percent votes.
The supporters of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) of Manyu IV Section (Upper Bayang Subdivision) in Manyu Division have once more reaffirmed their loyalty and support to their party chairman, President Paul Biya and urged him to stand as their candidate in the upcoming presidential election. CPDM supporters had a joint section conference last February 12 at the Tinto grand stand on the theme, "turning future challenges into opportunities with Paul Biya".
The perennial problems of bad state of roads, insufficient educational, health and social infrastructure as well as electricity and potable water supply featured prominently in all the ten speeches of conference but the militants pledged to ensure that the CPDM maintain its leading position in the Subdivision by voting massively for the party's candidate in the 2011 presidential election. The Manyu IV CPDM section conference was a moment to thank President Biya and celebrate through many dance groups, the appointment of Professor Peter Agbor Tabi as Minister Assistant Secretary General at the Presidency, Mengot Victor Arrey-Nkongho, Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency and Enow Abrams Egbe as the pioneer Governor of the Adamawa Region. They are all indigenes of Manyu Division.
The leader of the CPDM Central Committee to the conference, Ngafeeson Emmanuel Bantar who is also Secretary of State for Penitentiary Administration in the Ministry of Justice assured the population, "Government forgets no one. I can only recommend patience and endurance as government tackles the various development challenges". He urged them to turn the development obstacles to stepping stones for a better future, stating that the major challenge was to give a resounding victory to the CPDM candidate in the upcoming presidential election. Mr Mengot talking as the first CPDM Central Committee resource person for Manyu IV section, said government was addressing the development problems of the people according to the available resources, stating that work was ongoing on the Batibo-Numba- Mamfe road. He advised the party supporters to face all the challenges in unity so as to succeed together. The elite of Upper Bayang Subdivision came to the CPDM section conference with gifts to boost the health and morale to the population. Simultaneously with the conference, the population had free medical consultations and HIV/IADS screening test with results given instantly. The party's first resource person, Mr Mengot, also presented other gifts that included 200 pieces of the CPDM party uniform, 100 copies of the CPDM basic texts, three copies of the book, "Paul Biya: The Man", 100 copies of the book " Paul Biya: The People's Call", 36 radio sets, one television set, five sewing machines, 50 school bags, footballs and handballs.
