Somalia: UN Alarmed By Civilian Casualty in Mogadishu Clashes

The United Nations Refugee Agency UNHCR says more than 80 people have been killed and over 8,000 others displaced in the restive Somali capital Mogadishu within this month.

Mark Bowden, the UN resident and humanitarian co-ordinator says the fighting left a trail of civilian casualties and destruction with 24 civilians killed on February 10 after violence rocked parts of the bullet-riddled capital.
