Tanzania: Grief As 17 Butchered in Mystery Night Raid

Musoma — Seventeen people, including eight children, were hacked to death on Monday night by attackers who raided their homes, while most of them were asleep in a village near Musoma Town in Mara region.

Among the victims of the shocking raid by unknown assailants at Buhare village was an 11-month-old baby Yesterday, the Mara Regional Police Commander, Mr Robert Boaz, said four people had been arrested for questioning, as villagers claimed it could be a revenge attack for two killings in 2006, sparked off by cattle theft involving two neighbouring clans.
