Nigeria: Senators Threaten Napep Boss With Graft Charges

Abuja — The Coordinator of the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP), Mr. Magnus Kpakol, came under fire yesterday as the Senate Committee on Public Accounts threatened to recommend him to the relevant government agency for prosecution, for failing to answer to queries of abuse of financial regulations by the Auditor-General of Federation.

Kpakol did not only fail to appear before the probe panel yesterday but allegedly did not provide the Senate panel with responses to queries raised by the office of the Auditor-General.
