The Iziko South African gallery is giving visitors one more chance to view its exhibitions before it closes for renovations in preparation for the World Cup.
The gallery will be closed for six weeks from March 1 to allow for the designing of a special World Cup exhibition.
Raison Naidoo, Iziko's director of arts collections, encouraged people to visit the gallery's current exhibits one last time before they were rehung.
These include the exhibit Strength and Convictions: The Life and Times of South African Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, FW de Klerk, Nelson Mandela.
The exhibition was initiated by the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo, and gives intimate views of the great men who helped reshape the country through rare portrait photographs and a series of short documentaries on pivotal moments in South Africa's history.
Also on display will be an exhibit by major local artist Alexis Preller, entitled: The Sun, and Shadows.
Curator of the exhibit, Karle Nel, of Wits University, will conduct tours of the Preller exhibit on Sunday, during which he will share his ideas and discoveries about the artist's works and the man himself.
The walkabouts are open to the public for free, but the gallery does accept donations.
Naidoo recommended another locally produced exhibit, Dada South?, which examines the Dada art style and how it developed into a major international art movement in the 20th century.
The gallery will be reopened on April 15 and will begin hosting exhibitions by some of the country's emerging young artists.
