Abuja — Lagerback, who in the company of Nigeria Football Federation members, paid the Minister and Chairman, National Sports Commission, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, a courtesy visit, also said he was very proud to work with the Eagles.

In his brief remark, the 61-year ld Swede said, "I'm very proud to work with the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.

"Since the interview last week Friday, I've realised that Nigerians were very passionate about the football and the Super Eagles' excelling at the World Cup. I'll give in 100 per cent to ensure the Eagles have a good outing at the World Cup", thus declared Lars Lagerback.

Ndanusa had earlier said that the Swede's coming would add value to the Eagles preparation and participation at the World Cup finals in South Africa, expressing that the gold medal that eluded the country in last year's Fifa Under-17 World Cup and the recent African Nations Cup in Angola would be achieved in South Africa.

"I hope with the presence of Lars Lagerback we will realise the gold medal that eluded us in the Fifa Under-17 World Cup and the Angola Africa Nations Cup in South Africa .

Sani Lulu Abdullahi, the NFF president in his earlier remark, told the NSC boss that the search for the Eagles' new Technical Adviser commenced with the support of the Presidential Task Force to ensure that the Eagles qualified for the 2010 World Cup finals.
