Tunisia: Ethiopian Delegation Hails National Experience in Promoting Women's Conditions

Tunis — A delegation of the Committee of Women Parliamentarians from the Ethiopian House of Representatives, led by Mrs. Shitaye Minale, is visiting Tunisia from 1 to March 6, 2010.

On this occasion, a Tunisian-Ethiopian parliamentary working session was held on Monday at Le Bardo. The significant development of Tunisian women, especially in education, was welcomed by Mrs. Shitaye Minale who expressed her country's willingness to draw on the Tunisian experience in education.

At a meeting on Tuesday in Tunis, with Mrs. Bebia Bouhnak Chihi, the Minister of Women, Children and the elderly Affairs, the members of the Ethiopian delegation expressed their desire to boost bilateral relations between both countries.

They also expressed their willingness to draw on the Tunisian experience in promoting women's conditions in the political, social and economic areas.
