Tunisia: Sixth Edition of "Jazz in Carthage" to Feature Latino Music

Tunis — The spring season will be hot and swaying in Carthage as the 6 th edition of "Jazz in Carthage" will unfold from April 9 to 18, 2010.

The event, whose growing popularity among the public is now a well established fact, is jointly organized by Scoop Organization and the private telecom operator, "Tunisiana".

Renowned artists representing 8 countries namely Tunisia, the United States, Portugal, Cuba, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Brazil will give 16 concerts including "jazz club" performances.

The Mraihi brothers, Amine and Hamza, will give the opening concert with the concert along with the Portuguese trio "Jacinta".

John Lee Hooker Jr., son of the famous American musician John Lee Hooker, and author of the album "Electric Sufi", "Digital Prophecy" perform on April 10 and 11.

Tunisia's Dhafer Youssef, will host the evening of April 13, inviting his audience to discover his new album, "Abu Nawas Rhapsody".
