The Kaduna Refinery, which recently resumed work after lying idle for two years, is expected to shut down again today due to the vandalisation of the Warri-Kaduna crude oil pipeline near Lokoja, in Kogi State.
Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation's [NNPC] Group Managing Director Mohamed Sanusi Barkindo, who addressed newspaper editors in Abuja yesterday on Security of Oil and Gas Pipelines, said when the pipeline was vandalised on Monday, Kaduna Refinery had only three days' supply of crude oil and must therefore shut down until the pipeline is repaired.
