Kampala — A British Non Governmental Organisation has pledged to work with the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) to develop what they called 'a lot of untapped talent' in Uganda.
The group, Cricket Without Borders (CWB) is in the country on a 17-day tour during which they also run cricket coaching clinics.
Team leader Keown Scott told the media on Friday that during their tour in the eastern region, they discovered that there was a lot of talent in the game but the problem is tapping it.
"Of course one of the problems is lack of equipment, brought about by insufficient funding," Scott observed.
"It is a problem that cannot be solved overnight but we are going to discuss with UCA to see how best we can proceed.
Meanwhile, UCA has received a donation of an assortment of cricket equipment from Bankstown District Cricket Club.
UCA officials including the CEO Justin Ligyalingi received the equipment.
