Eritrea: Civil Aviation Authority Provides Training to Members

Asmara — The Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority offered training to its staff members with the collaboration of the International Civil Aviation Organization regarding safety in air transport.

The training is being offered as part of the requirements the Eritrean Civil Aviation needs to meet before inspection by the International Civil Aviation Organization by the end of this year. The training included briefings on making air transportation safe and reliable, enhancing the number and quality and airports, as well as follow up of aviation laws and regulations, among others.

Director of Air Navigation at the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Gebreab Gebremedhin stated that the training enabled the participants in identifying the organization's strong and weak sides.

About 40 skilled professionals from civil aviation department, the air port, Eritrea Airlines, National Security, customs department and the immigration office participated in the training.
