Angola: Sixteen Domestic Violence Cases Reported in Caala

Caála — Sixteen situations of domestic violence were reported last month in Caala, central highland Huambo province, the head of the local office of the ministry of family and woman promotion disclosed tuesday.

According to Emilia Catarina, most of the reported cases are related to escape parenthood and maintenance and family abandonment blaming the mounting domestic violence to the lack of maturity of the spouses and breaking of moral values in the community.

A total of 169 cases of domestic violence cases were reported were reported in 2009.
