Angola: Constitutional Commission Holds Ordinary Session On Thursday

Luanda — The Constitutional Commission of the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) will hold its 20th ordinary session on Thursday in Luanda.

This information is contained in note from the Constitutional Commission that comprises 60 PMs representing the Parliament's five political parties. Speaking to Angop on Wednesday, the spokesman of the Constitutional Commission, Samuel Daniel, added no details of the agenda for the meeting that has been called by the acting speaker of the National Assembly, João Lourenço.

The Constitutional Commission which was created in the light of law nº 2/09 of January 6, used to be chaired by the current Territory Administration minister, Bornito de Sousa, that was responsible for the drafting of the new Angola's Constitution, promulgated on February 5, this year by the head of State.
