Lisbon — The second day of the II Parliamentary Assembly of the Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP) was marked on Tuesday morning by the speech made by Angolan Parliament speaker, Paulo Kassoma, that focused on "Strengthening of cooperation within the CPLP framework".
On the occasion, Paulo Kassoma said that increased cooperation among the CPLP member countries can only take effect with a growing and reciprocal circulation of people and goods within the Community.
The annual report on the activities of the Women Parliamentarians Committee, was another issue that took the morning period of Tuesday's CPLP meeting.
After that, a lunch was hosted by the chairperson of the Conference of Heads of States and Government of the CPLP, who is also the president of Portugal, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, to the community organisation's Parliament speakers. In the afternoon period, two topics on the agenda were examined at the meeting ending Wednesday.
